Katrina Fema Trailer

Mississippi Gulf Coast

One year after Hurricane Katrina, residents hardest hit have re-staked a tenuous claim to the
land in Fema Trailers, which would have to be abandoned and probably lost at the approach of
even the most minimal of storms.

Debris has been removed or neatly organized into monuments to what was lost,
a small yet important first step in the process of wresting control of one's life from
Katrina, a tragedy which continues to dictate the course of events.
